Danni’s Story

Background

I studied accountancy at university because I enjoy working with numbers, calculations and problem-solving. I have a first-class honours degree in Accountancy from Glasgow Caledonian University. After graduating I worked at the finance department of Glasgow Caledonian University as a management accounts and claims assistant for a few months before being offered a position at Eureka Solutions in 2016.

Why Eureka Solutions?

I chose to apply to Eureka Solutions primarily because of the problem-solving challenges referred to in the job description. I really enjoy this and many other aspects of my job. The company structure offers excellent career progression opportunities, and I have enjoyed developing my skills and knowledge over the past 6 years.

What the job involves

I started as a member of the Support Team, dealing with the queries and issues customers have with their systems (mainly Netsuite), via phone or email. Within eight months of being on the job, I started going to customer sites, shadowing senior consultants during project implementation, and helping out on some of the project tasks. Within a year, I progressed to undertaking customer training and then moved on to become more involved with projects and spending more time with the implementation team delivering projects, carrying out project tasks myself, and training other members of staff. I am now a Product Specialist on the implementation team and working on my own NetSuite projects.

Always learning

Every day is a school day at Eureka Solutions and that makes each day interesting. There is always something new to learn and this constant challenge keeps me motivated. Everyone in the company has been great, friendly, and helpful, especially when I was still new and had to ask a lot of questions.
