Tech Titans Trade the Cloud for Coastal Restoration

SCOTLAND’s leading finance software specialists have taken to the beach to help the Conservation Volunteers restore Crammond Foreshore – a historic Scottish coastline. 

A team of thirty employees from Eureka Solutions attended the charity day, in a bid to restore the coastal habitats and dune systems in the area. 

Eureka Solutions efforts were part of the Sage Foundation’s initiative to support UK charities by providing volunteers to help achieve tasks quickly that would otherwise take months to complete. 

CEO of Eureka Solutions, David Lindores, explains; “The Sage Foundation contacted us and asked if we could lend a hand to the vital conservation work happening along the Crammond coastline, and we couldn’t be happier to get involved. As an established business of 20 years, we feel it’s important to support community and environmental initiatives like this.” 

Eureka Solutions’ participation in this initiative reflects their broader commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. Partnering with Sage and engaging in activities such as the Sage Foundation volunteering day demonstrates Eureka Solutions’ dedication to making a positive impact beyond the tech industry.

Volunteers dug deep – quite literally – to remove invasive non-native plant species, in a bid to promote the growth of native plants.

Volunteers also assisted the restoration project by sowing an ‘Edinburgh coastline’ wildflower seed mix, to extend protective fencing to prevent further degradation of sensitive grassland spots.
