As a business, we are always looking to do our bit within our local community. Being located in East Kilbride since 2004 it is important for us to support those within the area in any way we can.

Recently, our HR Manager Stephanie Kelly took the opportunity to offer advice to local Jobseekers after being invited to attend the CAP job club in East Kilbride by the minister of Calderwood Church.

CAP (Christians against poverty) offers support and guidance to job seekers looking to get back into employment. The job club running each Friday between 10 am & 1 pm covers topics such as identifying strengths, CV writing, and interview techniques.

Stephanie offered her knowledge and experience by spending time with each of the groups at the club discussing ways in which they could create an engaging and professional CV whilst offering information on free training courses based on their current strengths and weaknesses. Allowing the group to upskill whilst continuing their job search.

Having great experience in recruitment, Stephanie discussed the dos and don’ts of interviews and the importance of nonverbal communication whilst supplying those who attended with a copy of “The complete interview guide.”  Steph will continue supporting the group by sending them links to suitable jobs and screening their CVs.

Steph described her experience as “thoroughly enjoyable” and hopes that her time spent with the group can have a positive impact on their future job applications.
